Is the rotation of the Earth around a fixed axis an example of circular motion?

it is not a circular motion.It is actually called “Orbiting.
The Earth is rotating but not around the Sun, it is rotating (or spinning) around its north/south axis. It is also revolving (or orbiting) around the Sun.
